Cheap room, bed was comfortable plus there was a spotless bathroom. Besides, it was within 200 metres of Wavertree Botanic Gardens.

This hotel was quirky in every respect, had efficient staff at all times. I have stayed in standard king room with bedroom, shower and hairdryer for 2 nights. The food was brilliant - lots of options. The location was incredible and peaceful there, on dual carriageway.

Quiet location, parking spaces available.
The room was worn and had water stains on the ceiling. The mattresses were hard and saggy. The bathroom smelled of mold. It smelled disgusting in the hallways. The hotel has never been renovated. The breakfast buffet was very simple, the breakfast room old-fashioned, dark, uncomfortable.

Hotel in the old style. Large room. Everything okay.
First shocking because we were standing in front of a ruin and we thought it was the hotel. Then came the surprise. A nice hotel.

We were impressed with the huge, newly decorated room and the comfy beds that gave us a solid night’s sleep. Unwinding at the cozy lounge and enjoying breakfast with tasty options made our stay even better. The lift could use a little TLC, but it didn’t dim our enjoyment at all! 🌞

I thought the Devonshire was very clean, rooms serviced every day, staff were friendly
hidden from the road, needs better signage, not near any amenities
